Tim Pryor in his other career as a drummer |
The owner of this fine company is Tim Pryor. He is the major sponsor. He is also the car hauler to and from the races. This is a big job and Tim is faithful, consistent and careful in getting the crew and car to the track. I would like to give a brief description of the trip to and from the races each week.
We have some of the most interesting and vast conversations on the way to the track. Tonight was no exception. Tonight we started by talking about weddings. Tim has some interesting ideas and concepts on how to make the ceremonies simple and cost free. This is very helpful for a man with three girls (me). You will have to ask him if you need some advice in this area. We moved on into the subject of weather and how it effects our lives. Tim is a part time meteorologist. He can spot a rain cloud blindfolded.
Our next topic was about vehicle purchases. Tim is a world renowned car finder. He knows where more cars are for sale then any other man on the planet. We like to play a game where we give the make and the model and then Tim tells us where one is for sale and how much and with how many miles. This is a true gift!! We can play that game for hours.
As we got closer to the track, we began to talk about debt. This has no correlation to the car game that we play. Tim could be a financial planner. He knows how to build your credit rating in a matter of moments. If you need help with a purchase, Tim is your man.
What is even more amazing then his broad knowledge is his ability to drink a two liter bottle of Diet Mountain Dew and spit David's barbeque sunflower seeds while sharing all these gems. It is truly a sight to behold. He has the seed thing down.... he just throws them on the floor boards.
Tonight was a good night for our team. I managed another top ten finish, moving us up to 5th in the points. I finished 8th. Considering, I am junk on a heavy track, I like the bottom of the race track, and the car was crazy loose - we will take it!
Coming Soon: A fact filled documentary of director of racing operations, Randy Uppinghouse
